About my internship

During my 4-month internship at LEGO in Billund, Denmark, I had the opportunity to work as a Graphic Designer within the esteemed LEGO Design team. I contributed to the development and enhancement of visual elements for various LEGO products, ensuring each design captured the creativity and playfulness of the brand. My key responsibilities included:

  • Minifigure Graphics: Designed detailed and engaging graphics for LEGO minifigures, translating real-life characters into the iconic LEGO style.

  • Stickers and Printed Elements: Created intricate sticker designs and printed elements that enhance the play experience and visual appeal of LEGO sets.

  • Character Translation: Applied skills and knowledge to accurately and creatively represent real-life characters within the LEGO platform, maintaining the brand's unique aesthetic.

  • Collaborative Projects: Worked closely with cross-functional teams, including model designers and digital asset creators, to ensure cohesive and innovative designs.

  • Concept Development: Participated in brainstorming sessions and concept development, bringing fresh ideas to life through visual storytelling.

  • Digital Tools Proficiency: Utilized industry-standard design software to produce high-quality graphics, ensuring consistency with LEGO’s brand guidelines.

  • Feedback and Iteration: Engaged in iterative design processes, incorporating feedback from senior designers and stakeholders to refine and perfect designs.

This experience honed my skills in visual communication, collaboration, and creative problem-solving, and I am proud to have contributed to the legacy of a brand that brings joy and creativity to millions worldwide.
